Since our foundation, in 1957, our school has demonstrated proactivity by its constant commitment and leadership in the pursuing of excellence through a well-rounded, evidence-based, academic curriculum. Through didactic and clinical experiences, we assist in the development of competent professionals, able to exercise critical thinking, continuous self- learning and bioethical sensitivity. This is achieved within an interdisciplinary framework, which includes the field of research, while responding to the needs of their patients, and by offering the best possible comprehensive treatment, following the contemporary standards of care. This have been evidenced by the uninterruptedly accreditation status of all our academic programs by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association.
We have been, constantly, implementing technology to keep up with the current trends in education and training, consonant with our vision and mission statement which integrates elements of innovation, inter-professional practice, internationalization, technology for our creative and service endeavors, and the development of new foundation knowledge based in social determinants of health.
We are very proud of all the achievements obtained by our students, graduates, and faculty members associated to the predoctoral, postdoctoral, and research programs. Our goal is to remain as one of the leaders in dental education, with international reach and prestige, serving as an avant-garde model of academic excellence, both in research and service, for our country and the Hispanic population of North America, Europe and Latin America.
